Off-Market Share Buy-Back

A share buy back that allows shareholders to sell some or all of their shares back to the company at a premium price, provided they do so within set time limits. The sale transaction occurs off-market, and not through a broker on the ASX.

Earnings, before tax is deducted, that an employee is entitled to receive for his usual hours of work, usually excluding overtime or other work at penalty rates. The compulsory employer contribution to superannuation is calculated based on ordinary time earnings.

Opening Balances

The balances in various accounts as at the date you begin recording using a particular data recording system or method, or the balances as at the beginning of a new financial period.

Outperformance

A higher investment return than a benchmark or other measure against which that return is compared.

Overweight

Investments that have a greater exposure compared with the benchmark exposure.
